NYC in Canada- Montreal

There were so many people rocking the I *heart* NYC shirts. I don't know if there's some Big Apple trend, or just a coincidence.

Outside Grand Central-43st.

She conjures up the upper-crust 5th Ave. style that is so synonymous with NYC. That scarf is too amazing, not to mention those shoes, but I'm not sure about the bag though. What do y'all think?

Outside Grand Central-41st.

I know black is supposed to be slimming, but this takes it to a whole new level.

Comic Con 08

So NYC's comic convention rolled around town and of course I was there on the hunt for fashionable nerds... and info on the latest comics and video games (So I'm a nerd. What of it?). Well, apart from the millions of Naruto cosplayers I saw, the f-bots meter ranged from fierce-bots all the way down to frump-bots. Well, anyway, here's the cream of the crop of the f-bots who were in "civilian" threads:

C'mon. Nice dress. Cute pose. Beautiful face. Perfect.

I love this outfit because she's got the I-don't-give-a-damn-I'm-a-nerd-and-I'm-quirky-so-suck-it look going on. I love that hat and her socks.

I was not expecting to see someone like this at Comic Con. That just goes to show that nerds come in all shapes and sizes. Even fabulous ones. Not personally my style, but you gotta give her props for looking so fierce.

WTF-bots?! (30th and 2nd. Ave)

As you know, NYC style is a cornucopia of inspiration (hence me making this blog). However, NYC also has its fair share of totally random and crazy (aka cool) stuff that I have to share with you guys. That is why I made my WTF-bots?! segment. So here it goes: your first WTF-bots?! of the month!

I found this picture just as it was on the floor of a playground. This guy's face tells such an interesting story to me. Also, why would this be on the floor at a kids playground?!

30th and 2nd.

Just goes to show, white and black always look good together.

LIC Pier/ Vernon Jackson compilation

OMG, Rainbow Bright lives in Queens, y'all! You have to love all these bright colors mashed together, though. If it's super fierce and super bright, then I'm all about it. A little bit of confidence when rocking this garb does not hurt, either.

I think this is a well put together look. I really dig the bleeding heart graphic on his shirt, but the bag is what sells it for me.

First of all, she is too fierce to carry around just one bag. Secondly, those boots are so amazing! This girl has a great sense of personal style.

This f-bot is just too cute! I know about a dozen guys who would love to date her. But aside from that, I love her sweater (vest?) and her shoes. Not to mention that camera.

F-look of the Week- LIC PIer, Queens

It takes a fashionable person to look this good, but it takes a true f-bot to coordinate with your pet.

28th and 2nd. Ave

Being monochromatic never looked so fierce! This was the nicest lady ever and explained that in her "heyday" she used to work in the fashion industry in Italy. Yup, I believe it.

Brooklyn Flea Part Six

Oh man, I want those keds so bad. It has a zipper, for crying out loud! And shoelaces! At the same time! Simply amazing.

Brooklyn Flea Pt. 5

Let this be a lesson to y'all: You don't always have to dress extravagantly to get noticed. Sometimes you need...get this...PERSONALITY!
This girl had a quirky, shy vibe that immediately drew my attention. After studying this picture though, I noticed that she's got splashes of color peeking out of her cute coat: a little bit of green at the bottom, a pair of blues from the sleeves and blacks, yellows and grays around her collar. Like, what fierce sweatshirt do you have under that coat?!
It's like she smuggled a piece of the rainbow and is hiding it from us. That explains the smile.

Brooklyn Flea, Part Four (Definitely)

Now, I'm not too big a fan of baggy pants. That's personally just not my style. But I think this guy pulls it off well. I love the shoe and scarf combo, not to mention that watch.

Brooklyn Flea Part Duex (Or Trois)

There's three things I like about this picture:
1. The Smurf sweater.
2. Those boots.
3. The fact that her bag and her earrings match perfectly.

Brooklyn Flea Continues

Not only does she look rad in black, but that sweater, scarf and those lockets add personality to her look. I took this picture under the condition that I would return next Sunday to see her at her Brooklyn Flea table, so expect more from this f-bot.

It begins @ Brooklyn Flea

So after walking around the very style-conscious Brooklyn Flea Market last Sunday for about two hours, I finally mustered enough courage to take pictures of people.

This was the first person I asked. Forget that her entire outfit was super cute and let's concentrate on that Go Fish paper bag and her cup of coffee, which somehow adds to the whole look. Her ring also looks nice and I think she might have bought it at Brooklyn Flea. Anyway, as luck would have it, she also has a fashion website (albeit more professional than mine) and was really sweet with me because she didn't laugh and shoo me away, which she could have. I took this interaction as a Sign from Above, telling me to continue to snap pics and post, post post.

FATE, HERE I COME!

PS- Her name is Anna Jacobsen and her website is Style Sight.
